The innovative massage method causes vibrations (20 - 80Hz) which cause many mechanical changes at skin level. Specific sensory nerve endings, the Pacini meccano receptors, respond very rapidly to these mechanical skin deformations and can register up to 700 vibrations per second. The mechanical vibration energy detected, after conversion into electrical nerve impulses, is generally "sent through" the beta type A nerve vessels at a speed of 30 - 60 m/sec. Maintaining the cell membrane tension (+ 45 mV) thus increased likewise has a positive influence on the intracellular tension which can increase from 70mv to 110 mV.

Both established electrical phenomena are responsible for a dual effect. Firstly, it creates an optimisation of all existing transport mechanisms throughout the cell membrane whereby the transport of oxygen, ions, foodstuffs and waste, etc., are boosted.
